Do you feel lost in your lifestyle? Perhaps you don't feel you have choices?

If that is the case it is most likely that you are missing out on the peace of God, and we would encourage you to ask Jesus to come into your life! This is the only way you will find true peace in life. When you know the Peace of Jesus, the bad things that happen in your life won't burden you as much any more and you can fulfill your life to become all that God meant you to be!

God's Promise Of Salvation

All people have fallen away from God and need salvation. Here are a few Bible verses about our fallen nature :

Isaiah 53:36 ~ We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each one of us has turned to his own way, and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.

Romans 6:23 ~ For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Even though we have this fallen nature and do evil things God still loves us and provides a way to return to him. He has provided a perfect sacrifice which is his only begotten son Jesus Christ. God paid the price to win us back to him, and all we need to do is accept Jesus as our Saviour and Lord. God gives us an assurance of salvation in the following verse :

John 5:24 ~ Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth My word, and believeth on Him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

You cannot be saved by doing good things (or good works). We are saved only by his grace.

Ephesians 2:8-9 ~ For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not your own doing, it is the gift of God - not because of works, lest any man should boast.

What Do You Need To Do To Be Saved?

If you want to start a new life as a Christian following God you must first ask him to forgive all the wrong things you have done. Ask him into your heart. Bible says "For the Son of man came to seek and to save the lost", this means you and The me. All we need to do is ask him into our lives!

The following verse tells us how to find salvation :

John 1:12 ~ Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God

Take some time now to pray to God for your salvation and ask him into your life. This will be the most important thing you have ever done. At the same time turn away from evil things, repent of these things. Ask God to help you get your life in control! You must die to your past and be born again in Jesus. Make Christ the center of your life. The Bible puts it this way :

Galatians 2:20 ~ I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me; and the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

Just think... God loved you so much that he would die for you. That is enough reason for me to follow him.

God's Promise Is Good!

God promises you that you will be saved if you only ask him. He also promises to protect you from evil and give you eternal life. The alternative to not being saved is quite ugly. To die and be separate from God is hell, but you can be saved from that. God's word is true. Here is another couple of verses that show his true word.

Numbers 23:19 ~ God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should change His mind. Does He speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?

2 Thessalonians 3:3 ~ But the Lord is faithful; He will strengthen you and guard you from evil.

That about says it all "He will strengthen you and guard you from evil."

God Will Help You!

God does not only give you the free gift of salvation but will help you through the hard times as you seek to turn your life around. As you fight against the temptations of the world and your old lifestyle he will be there to help. He understands that you may have things to work through and he is patient with you. He will give you victory!

1 Corinthians 10:13 ~ No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithfull, and He will not let you be tempted beyond your strength, but with the temptation will also provide the way of escape, that you maybe able to endure it.

Changing Your Lifestyle

Yes... we need to change our lifestyle. It is very important to let go of our evil ways, but also seek to understand God. Do this by reading the Bible every day. It would be best to start with the New Testament which talks about the life of Jesus and the salvation he offers. Learn from the Bible about the teachings of Jesus... and follow them. Also, it is a good idea to pray every day or any time. If we have needs we can ask him about those needs (sometimes the answer will be "no" of course. God knows our true needs). But aside from asking him for one thing or another it is good just to talk to him and praise him. We have become his adopted children. Parents (God) like to hear from their children. Prayer is a personal thing between you and God.

Also, find a good church that you can go to. We can learn a lot in church, but also there is fellowship with our Christian brothers and sisters. When you come into God's family you will have many brothers and sisters!
